Tommy Cecil’s songs have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Scotty McCreery, Reba, Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Jimmie Allen, Granger Smith, Jake Owen, Drake White, Thompson Square, Dylan Scott and more. The Bardstown, Kentucky native began building his own demos, which opened the door for him to also produce songs for Jake Owen and Parmalee. In addition, Cecil produced Chris Janson’s chart-topping single “Done” and holds co-writing credit on four additional cuts from Janson’s album, Real Friends. Through the years, he’s seen his songs come to life in a variety of settings. Colt Ford sang Cecil’s “Diggin’” in Joe Dirt 2; Reba performed his cut, “Freedom,” at the 2019 ACM Awards; and Tim McGraw and Shy Carter debuted his song, “Way Down,” at the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship pre-game show. Cecil’s most recent singles include Jake Owen’s comeback smash, “I Was Jack (You Were Diane),” the chart-topping duet from Luke Bryan and Karen Fairchild, “Home Alone Tonight,” and Runaway June’s “Head Over Heels.” He’s currently in the studio working on upcoming projects for new artists Patrick Murphy and Kelsey Hart.
